Dementia and Alzheimer's Care Workshops
The aims of the Dementia and Alzheimer's Care workshops is to educate and support family caregivers who are involved in the care of a loved one with Alzheimer’s & other types of Dementia This workshops are built around simulation and gives you an opportunity to have walk in the shoes of a dementia person and how it may feel to have dementia .
Promoting public education and awareness on dementia
Our goal is to ensure that the whole community is Dementia Friendly.We educate the community on Alzheimer's and other types of dementia, through community gathering,groups,posters,leaflets distribution,social ,mass media and by training the key community leaders and business people.This helps decrease dementia stigma and the community is able to assist people with memory loss.
Dementia and The Local Church
What happens to religious faith of people living with dementia? How do their carers cope with faith issues?
We ensure that the congregations and the church leaders are well equipped to handle people living with Alzheimer's ,memory loss and other types of dementia. Every church congregation and community will have a number of people affected, directly or indirectly, by dementia. Spiritual Care for people living dementia is very important as research shows that religious memory is the last memory to be affected by Alzheimer's and other types of dementia.
Creating Dementia Friendly generation
The number of people living with dementia increasing as the population ages and more young people are likely to be affected through family and friends. We educating young people about Alzheimer's and other types of dementia and this helps reduce stigma and increase dementia understanding. The program encourages them to become active, responsible citizens and to respect senior citizens with memory loss.
